About us
Our Founder, Yahya Mhirssi
With two degrees in music and piano performance and a decade of experience teaching students of all ages, in three languages, across two continents, I have developed a versatile and accessible approach. This allowed me to connect with a diverse range of students and make music education approachable for everyone.
As I wrote my senior recital program, "Yahya's mission as a musician is to contribute to the revival of improvisation practice in concerts as well as academic curricula."
Interactive Pedagogy
Impropiano’s mission is to pursue excellence in both theory and practice. With carefully designed workbooks, engaging audio play-alongs, and interactive Q&A sessions, we promote self-expression, encourage spontaneity, and value risk-taking as essential parts of the improvisation learning journey.
